New Mazak I500 is up and running
This past week MTM completed the installation of our new Mazak machining. The new VARIAXIS machining expands MTM’s 5-axis capabilities.
MTM To Be Adding New Mazak I-500 Machining Center
MTM has just purchased a brand new Mazak VARIAXIS I-500 5-AXIS machining center. The new machining center will feature a 12,000 RPM spindle and a 60 tool pocket magazine. This new 5-axis machine will add to our 5-axis capability. After installation MTM will have 8 5-axis machining centers.
Expanded CMM Capacity
Our expanded CMM room is now up-and-running. Our CMM is being housed in its own climate controlled environment to ensure accurate and repeatable results. This addition is taking Manitowoc’s coordinate measuring machine total up to 8 machines. Ensuring quality product is a top priority at Manitowoc, and adding a machine such as this CMM, allows for added flexibility to meet customers’ needs and expectations.
MTM Adds new Machining Center
MTM is in the process of adding yet another brand new Horizontal Machining Center. The machine has arrived, and is currently being positioned to run production. The Mazak HORIZONTAL CENTER NEXUS 6800-II machining center combines advanced technology with high performance and high productivity to achieve maximum performance when working with virtually any type of material. This machine is perfect in our production environment with its’ spacious work envelope and pallet size, as well as a fast rapid traverse speed. Another exciting addition to our fleet at Manitowoc Tool!

MTM’s Palletech Systems bring advanced, pre-engineered automation to today’s machining environments. It is a Multi-Tasking solution for any manufacturing or volume requirement. Our palletech system cells provide manufacturing flexibility and efficiency in both low- and high-volume production. MTM maximizes floor space and machine utilization, while easily shifting between jobs and workloads. MTM offers 5 different sized systems, ranging from 16 pallets, all the way up to 48 pallets.
